 Tough choices. People at risk of hunger make them every day. Buy medicine or buy food? Buy food or pay for utilities or heat?
In a nation of great abundance, these are choices that no one should have to make. Fortunately, people in Greater Kansas City have somewhere to turn when they need help.
Thelma, 75, and her husband, 81, have extensive medical bills their insurance didn’t cover. Without help, they’d have to choose between paying their bills or buying food.
